Swaziland
LOCATION SPECS:

You will be staying in Nsoko. It is a small village north of Manzini. AIM has a base there and you will stay in dorm style living quarters. You will partner with a large group of people, but led by Marius and Jody Deetlef. Your ministry will focus on orphan care, house visits, and church planting.

VISA:

You will not need a Visa before you arrive. You will receive a 30 day visa at the border of Swazi and South Africa. You will have to cross the border every 30 days in order to renew your visa. It will cost you about 5-10 US dollars each time. Don’t stress this is easy and fun.

COMMUNICATION:

There will be access to internet at cafés in town. You will make no more than one Internet session each week. You can purchase a cell phone for about $20 and its all prepaid.

HOUSING:

Dorm Style housing. Not much electricity. You will have running water.

South Africa
LOCATION SPECS:

You will be staying Nelspruit (nel-sprite) in the northeast corner of South Africa. You will partner with the Betor House, and be led by Kent Michalik and his wife. You will travel some into Mozambique and work with Iris Ministries for a short amount of time, otherwise your ministry will focus on marketplace ministry.


VISA:
You will receive a 90-day visa upon entry into South Africa(free!!). You will have to leave the country every 90 days in order to renew. This is easy to accomplish. You are only 2 hrs from the Swaziland border.


COMMUNICATION:

There will be access to Internet at cafés in town. You will make no more than one Internet session each week. You can purchase a cell phone for about $20 and it’s all prepaid.

HOUSING:

The Betor House is a home for missionaries. You will live in community with your host.

Uganda

LOCATIONS SPECS:
You will be staying in Busia. You will be partnering with Helping Hands. They are active in orphan care, education, and church planting. They have 70 Church plants in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. You will be working in all facets of their ministry as well as traveling to the other countries often.
 
VISA:
Entry will be $50 dollars. You get this at Customs upon arrival. You will need to have this in cash when you arrive.
 
COMMUNICATION:
There will be access to Internet at cafés in town. You will make no more than one Internet session each week. You can purchase a cell phone for about $20 and it’s all prepaid. 
 
HOUSING:
You will have a rental house near the mission base. Electricity is random at best. Furniture will be minimal.
You will need Mosquito nets!

Nicaragua
LOCATION SPECS:

You will be staying in Granada. You will be partnering with our local missions base, and work with Charles and Sara Kay. Your ministry will be focused on meeting felt needs, working with youth, and feeding children.

VISA:

You will not need to do anything in advance. You will be given a 30-day visa at the border, and can renew it easily in town.

COMMUNICATION:

There will be access to Internet at cafés in town. You will make no more than one Internet session each week. You can purchase a cell phone for about $20 and it’s all prepaid.

HOUSING:

You will be Staying at “El Puente”, AIMs mission base in Granada. It is dorm style living. You will have running water most of the time.

    South Africa team…the Betor house is AMAZING!! Incredible people there!!! SO excited for you guys as well!

  4. Ahahahahaha, Jenessa, you crack me up!!! I had to say it out loud before I got it! (assuming we are thinking of the same thing), but that is a vocal warm up in theatre! 🙂

    Poor Uganda folk, we are destined to be in the dark until we get there… and then the adventure begins. At least we are in it together!!
